How do I use a Methodwise tool?
The free calculators on this site work the moment you open them. Just type in your numbers. The tools you buy on Etsy arrive as a single file you download; open it in any web browser and it runs straight away. There's nothing to install.
Do I need to be online?
Only to open a page or download a file the first time. After that, the tools run entirely offline. You can save a tool to your computer and use it on a train, on a plane, or anywhere with no signal.
Is my data private?
Yes. Everything you type stays in your own browser, on your own device. The tools have no account, no login, and no server to send your information to, so your numbers never leave your computer.
How do I buy a tool, and how is it delivered?
The full tools are sold on our Etsy shop. After buying, you get an instant digital download: a single file you keep. There's no waiting and nothing shipped.
Will it work on my device?
The tools run in any modern web browser on a Windows PC, Mac, Chromebook, tablet or phone. They're designed desktop-first, so they're at their best on a computer, but they work on a phone too.
Do I get updates?
You keep the version you bought, and it keeps working for good. When tax years or rules change we release updated versions, and you're welcome to download the latest from your original Etsy order.
What if there's a problem, or I want a refund?
Because the tools are instant digital downloads, refunds follow our Etsy shop policy. If something isn't working, get in touch first. Most issues are quick to sort, and we'd rather fix it than leave you stuck.
